COREY SCARBORO
Peekskill, NY
Corey Scarboro (b. 1968) has been a member of LAND Studio and Gallery, a program for artists with developmental disabilities, since 2005. His work is informed by his diverse interests, including cooking, wrestling, animals, and mystical creatures. Scarboro employs a journal writing ritual before he begins working each day, and captions related to his entries often make appearances in his artwork. Using pencil or watercolor, Scarboro creates colorful ecosystems where form, whether human, animal, magical, or edible, is reimagined harmoniously.
